About us

BWA Wrocław Galleries of Contemporary Art. One cultural institution – four galleries of contemporary art in the very centre of Wrocław, connected by a program and an idea. We present art and design in their new, sometimes surprising, manifestations. BWA Wrocław exhibitions, events and publications often take the form of socially engaged art. Our galleries, Palmiarnia and Lifery function as the so-called third place. One may visit them regardless of the events taking place, bring a dog, relax and have some drinking water. It feels like home with us.

Since 2021, BWA Wrocław has been a partner of the New European Bauhaus, an initiative of the European Commission that combines the European Green Deal with the experiences and spaces in which we live. 

Since 2023, BWA Wrocław, as an institution in which Wrocław Irrigation Fields are located within scientific and artistic interests, has been a signatory of the Pact for Wetlands. It is a declaration signed on the occasion of World Wetlands Day, recognising wetland ecosystems such as swamps, peatlands, rivers, lakes as a key element of nature, and their protection as necessary to stop the global climate and ecological crisis, ensure a safe future for people and sustainable access to environmental resources.
