Past event
This event is a review of the best master’s diplomas from all faculties and departments operated by the Academy. For the participating young artists, it is often their first contact with a major cultural institution and its audience. For visitors, it is an opportunity to learn about the work and confront the art of the young generation that is just leaving the walls of the art academy.
We would like to invite you to BWA Wrocław Główny, where we will present an extremely wide range of artistic and design works using various means of expression. Visitors will be able to see works from the faculties of: Painting, Ceramic Art and Design, Glass Art and Design, Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Ceramics and Glass, Art Mediation, Sculpture, Graphics, Media Art, Interior Design and Scenography. This unusual presentation will therefore be an opportunity to see where young art and design is heading.
During the opening on 16 February 2024, the winner of the main prize for the best diploma of the year 2023 and the other statutory prizes will be announced.
“The time of study is a period of creative exploration, experimentation and discovery of one’s own artistic path. At our Academy, learning is all about the master-student relationship and close contact with lecturers. The space for creative freedom, conversations, corrections, discussions, cooperation and support from the lecturers all add up to a synergy effect, the final emanation of which is in the form of a thesis. This final project is the result of the student’s interaction with the supervisor, and also presents the student’s artistic or design potential, depending on the field of study. It is young artists who set the directions of contemporary art, define its future, and shape the creative and innovative role of design and design. The Art of Passage exhibition, which honours the most talented of the talented, young artists and designers standing on the threshold of independent creative activity, is the best opportunity to find out.
