Soon event
Sober Ravers for Palestine is a performance event that will transform the Studio into a daytime dance space, free from intoxicants but not lacking in energy and the communal potential of rave. We will be hosting multidisciplinary British artist Hu-Sane, who will present a multi-genre DJ set at the Studio with her signature UK Garage swing, percussive rhythms and elements of Punjabi sounds.
The artist’s DJ set will be a musical journey through her Pakistani heritage, combining the nostalgic energy of the dance floor with modern bass music. At the same time, it will be a celebration of the sounds of the diaspora, creating an inclusive, euphoric atmosphere for the audience. The whole experience will be complemented by original visuals, which Hu-Sane will present during her set.
The event is part of the exhibition Raise the Curtain! – a metaphorical journey through British culture in search of dance revolutions, the transformative power of the night and moments when fun takes on a political character and becomes a tool for change.
Rave is also part of the performative activities programmed by Francis Thorburn, a British artist participating in the exhibition.

Hu-Sane
– British multidisciplinary artist, selector and producer combining percussive, bass sounds with stories rooted in her North Pakistani heritage. She grew up in County Durham and currently lives in Glasgow. Her sets weave together swing garage, breaks and Punjabi rhythms, placing lesser-represented sounds and the art of the diaspora at the centre. She creates club experiences that combine rhythm and community.
The exhibition Raise the Curtain! is supported by the British Council as part of UK/Poland Season 2025.
