Olfactory Workshop – Guided Smellwalking with Illia Meier and Anna Oleszkiewicz
Guided by our sense of smell, let’s explore the area around the Lesław Węgrzynowski Park together, which will inspire us to create a scent for the area.
Scent affects our bodies within 0.5 seconds – that’s how long it takes from the inhalation until the first emotional associations. If our grandmother wears perfume with a strong rose note, the aroma will constantly remind us of her. Scent associations stay with us for life.
During our guided smellwalk, which luckily coincides with the Long Night of Museums, we will stroll at a leisurely pace through the area surrounding the Lesław Węgrzynowski Park, adjacent to the future seat of BWA Wrocław. Through our olfactory sense, we will connect with the historical past of that place. At the end of the walk, everyone will be given a chance to create a perfume bottle with the scent of the area, which we will have strolled through together with Illia Meier and Anna Oleszkiewicz.
A map for individual smellwalks will also be available at a later date. Simply contact us at: i.kaluza@bwa.wroc.pl.
