Great Pragotron

A series of on-line lectures devoted to the Great Pragotron – pallet boards that were recovered by the Dizajn gallery team in 2015 and brought back to life by engineer Krzysztof Tyszecki.

Great Pragotron is a collection of letters and characters used in former split-flap displays acquired in the spring of 2015 by the Dizajn BWA Wrocław gallery team. The timetable displays were salvaged during their disassembly at the railway station in Bydgoszcz, then reassembled and restarted to serve as a signboard showing the gallery’s programme. Since 2019 it has been part of the set design of the reception of BWA Wrocław Główny. Our dream of making it interactive came true in 2021 thanks to engineer Krzysztof Tyszecki, involved in the project from the beginning. 

All events were streamed on BWA Wrocław’s Facebook, translated into Polish Sign Language.
